it's a high life

And she leaves the room
but only phisically
for her voice and spirt
still lingurs among the crowd
in her beauty shes lost
as she leans against the wall
and begins to think
as warm rivers stream down her face
and softly touch her lips
she wonders that perhaps
that it is not a river
but an ocean
never ending and salty waves
as she thinks her heart swells
and a man comes around the corner
threw the ocean of tears she smiles
she loves this man
he is the one who wipes her tears
then he tells her it wil be okay
and then everything in the world,
seems right

Okay, so I was reading this blog that was linked of Kat's called "Life of L" and I seen this post that really appealed to me. "why do guys want big boobs and a skinny waist when human proportioned most of the time don't work out that way? Why is "pretty" confined one look? Why does the word "ugly" exist in describing people?" I really do want to know why this is all applied. Girls and woman and pressured into looking "pretty" to impress men and to be accepted.we gawk over stars who are just fake air brushed and on extreme diets but we want to be exactly like them. So we try so hard that we will go to deadly extents just to be beautiful. We wax, shave, pluck, we cut and colour, we trim and paint, but some of us will go to the extent of not eating, or throwing up the little food we did eat. We go and get reconsructive surgery. And we still think we aren't good enough. We are told to be something we are not. We are told to be flawless and beautiful when we are not. And even change our personalities. We all want to be accepted but going to these is unrealistic. We are all beautiful, on the outside and on the inside in a special way. We need to learn to accept ourselves and be confident with our looks and personalities. If we did this world would be more concentrated on more important issuses instead of our appearance and trying to be something or someone we are not.
